Common Ion QuizMaster - CP Chemistry Edition
Directions
-
Select a mode (details below), then click in the
box to put a "check" next to the ions that you would like to be quizzed
on. Clicking on a "checked" box will "uncheck" it.
-
Next, press "New Question" to begin. Fill in all of the empty cells
and press "Check Ans."
-
Keep in mind the following when entering your answers:
-
Spell the ion/element names with lower case letters only!!!
-
Use proper upper and lower case letters for the symbol.
-
Write charges as 0 or as +3, -2 (NOT 3+ or 2-)
-
Do not try to stylize subscripts. Enter as normal numbers.
Example: NO3
-
For elements with multiple charges, include the roman numerals in parenthesis
immediately after the name (no space) Example: chromium(II)
-
Once you have attempted a question 3 times, you can press the Show Answer
button for the correct answer.

Ions
Learn Mode
-
This mode will quiz you on ALL of your selected ions. If you answer
incorrectly the first time, that ion will "stay in the pool" and continue
to reappear until you answer it correctly on the first try. The "round"
will continue until you have answered ALL of your selected ions correctly.
-
Learn Mode is the recommended mode for studying and learning the ions.
Quiz Mode
-
This mode simulates a testing situation. It will randomly choose
up to 20 questions from your selected ion list.
-
Quiz Mode is recommended when you think you are ready for the test.
