What To Do:
- Read
through some of the article summaries posted on the WebBoard and
find one thay interests you.
- Explore
the topic further by doing some research on the internet or using
various
other sources or people. You are looking for new, but related
information
that was not mentioned in the original article summary. You
may
ask a question or answer a question that has come up in the
discussion.
- Post
a
1-3 paragraph reply to the article discussion. Your reply should
present
either a new idea, new question, or new information related to the
article
response (5 sentence minimum). At the end of your reply, cite the
source(s)
of your information in proper MLA format.
To post reply, simply go to Web Board,
select "Article Discussion", select the response you want to comment
on,
then click "Reply" at the bottom.
Words of Wisdom :
- To get the full 7 points, be sure to bring in new
information and be sure to reference the source of your information.
- Since
web pages do not recognize the TAB key, I recommend that you hit
return
twice at the end of each paragraph to make a space as a means to
separate
one paragraph from another.
- When posting your reference
for
an online source, use the square [] tags around the URL instead of the
triangular
<> tags that MLA Style calls for.
